Commissioners $213,000 grant for healthy aging

NEW LEXINGTON — The Board of Perry County Commissioners has announced that it has been awarded a grant of $213,000 for promoting healthier living among older adults in Perry County.

Following through on its 2023 application to the state’s Department of Aging, the board will use the funding from the state’s Healthy Ohio Aging Grant to help Perry County seniors 60 and older improve important factors determining their health and well-being, in particular housing, food security and social engagement through technology.
