How Does Perry County Connect with the Region?

My priority is always the best interest of the citizens of Perry County. There’s no question our success is impacted by what is happening around us and what is available to help us with our goals. I feel it’s critical to connect with regional partners by participating as an active member on their boards. Representing the interests of Perry County in this way helps to connect us with opportunities for growth.

If you feel there is business to be done or matters we should be addressing with these councils and agencies, I encourage you to call me at the Commissioners office Monday through Friday at (740) 342-2045 or send me email. I am actively interested in hearing your concerns and ideas.

I represent Perry County and attend board meetings with:

Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP)
HAPCAP is committed to providing comprehensive services that address the diverse needs of our community, including access to affordable housing, transportation, food and nutrition, utility assistance, employment programs and more.

Buckeye Hills Regional Council (BHRC)

Perry County Family & Children First Council (PCFCFC)
If any Perry County Ohio family has a conflict or need with their child/youth, Perry County Family and Children First Council (PCFCFC) determines needs and strengths of family functioning with an assessment. From there a referral might be made for a service or resource in the area or they will set up a family meeting and begin Service Coordination.  The goal is to improve the current situation, so there is no risk of the child/youth being placed outside of the home.

Coshocton Licking Fairfield Perry Solid Waste District (CLFP)
In 1989, House Bill 592 mandated that Ohio counties organize into groups to manage their waste streams. Our solid waste district is comprised of Coshocton, Fairfield, Licking, and Perry Counties. The four counties work together to reduce reliance upon landfills and to increase recycling.

Multi County Juvenile Detention Center (MCJDC), Board of Commissioners | Board of Trustees

A Joint Board of Commissioners and Board of Trustees is charged with the responsibility of designing, funding, and implementing coordinated and accountable services for delinquent, unruly, dependent, neglected, and abused children referred by juvenile or family court judges. MCJAS strives to be a leader and innovator in the field of juvenile justice. The system constantly looks to develop more effective ways to address the problems of juvenile crime and violence and works diligently to protect members of the community.
