PERRY COUNTY, OH – An area courthouse that’s stood for over 130 years is getting a facelift.
The Perry County Courthouse has stood tall since 1887. It’s receiving much-needed repairs, starting with the replacement of its original roof.

There is construction currently underway in the Moore’s Junction area and Construction soon to begin in the Rehoboth area to install public sewage systems by the County. A lot of folks have asked about these projects and there are certainly mixed opinions from the residents directly affected.

Time and time again one of the biggest shortfalls our Sheriff and his staff remind us, is of the problem of sufficient coverage of the county during all shifts with road Deputies. Of course, time and time again the reason for the continued struggle is due to the limited budget throughout our Perry County finances.

I find it curious that in the professional world if you work with other individuals in a common field toward a common goal it is called, “partnering” “networking” “collaborating” and other such positive terms. But what I have seen is that If you are an elected official, and you strive to work with other officials or elected officials across local, state, and federal boundaries; for the benefit of your constituents, you are “in Cahoots.”
