WHIZ-TV: Exciting Times Ahead for Perry County Park District

PERRY COUNTY, OH – The Perry County Park District received a trio of grants and is gearing up for exciting upcoming events.

A $1,500 grant from the Perry County Community Foundation will be used for maintenance equipment, while a $500 grant from the ODNR will be used for educational materials. Additionally, a grant from the National Association of Interpretation has enabled the purchase of a digital microscope.

The Perry County Park District operates in Perry County and is governed by a local Board. In April of 2022 the Park District hired Jessie Bennett as their very first Naturalist.  Jessie hit the ground running and does a great job working with adults and children throughout the county regarding all things in our natural world.  Funding for the Park District is provided by the Perry County Commissioners.
